Building Bangladesh's E-Waste Ecosystem
WEEE Society Bangladesh was established with a singular vision: to create a sustainable, formal system for the collection, processing, and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in Bangladesh.
With electronic waste growing at an alarming rate — and the vast majority being handled in informal, unsafe conditions — we recognized the urgent need for structured intervention. Our work spans awareness campaigns, policy advocacy, capacity building, and direct program implementation.
We operate at the intersection of environmental protection, public health, and economic development, partnering with government ministries, international organizations, and private-sector actors to build a comprehensive e-waste management infrastructure for the country.
